Tammy Leonard, President of LA Consultants Inc, iCoach Inc and EDC Laboratories, Inc
A little about me! My education and background began in Texas, my home state, with a career in the general securities financial market. Several years later a change in lifestyle was necessary after the turmoil's of the financial market hit in the late 1980's. In 1989 I chose to move to Arkansas and to experience farming and homeschooling my three children. LOL Obviously, two extreme opposite choices for a career but which both have supplied unique education which I still use to master mind systems today. Funny how that works!
Eye care wasn't something I went looking for, rather it found me at a time I was looking for personal growth. I began my journey in the eye care profession 1994 when I accepted a position as office manager for a multi-site practice in Arkansas. It hasn't quit demanding growth of me since! In 1998 I left the practice knowing I wanted to do more with my career life and thought about consulting. I knew I loved the profession but I had no idea how to get started. I accepted a sales position with Tura and quickly became the number three Escada "Eyewear Consultant" in the nation servicing primarily the northern half of Arkansas and southern Missouri. It was fun...I remember giving free workshops on multiple eyewear sells. Soon I was lecturing at the state association meetings and then the rest is history. I did my first consult in 1999 and LA has been led by referrals ever since.
I am told LA is different because we work with employees; the team that helps make it happen. I believe in people and I believe when two or more come together in thought, miracles occur. All kinds of miracles; I have had the honor and joy of seeing them many times.
I am told over and over again that I am a very passionate person and that my dedication to this profession is evident in the customer service and clinical protocols we provide. Macula Degeneration stole my focus in eye care in 2003. Since then our systems have been developed with the ultimate goal of slowing the progression of blinding eye diseases in our country. It has had a win-win-win effect!
Just a few of my favorite landmarks:
- 95% of all LA accounts grow the practice revenue double digits in the first year they work with us. 70% continue to do it the following year. I have learned that a good business plan works everytime!
- A 1 doctor Kentucky practice hosted a one day style show and collected $90,000 in revenue
- A 2 doctor practice in Iowa continues to host successful style shows annually averaging collections from $118,000 to $150,000 since 2006!!!!
- A 5 doctor practice grew from $5.1 million to 6.4 million in one year!!!!
- Several practices have experienced growth well over 35%
- Top doctor nets 55% in solo practice
- Top 4 doctor practice nets 52%
These are just a few of the financial successes. The team successes are endless which results in excellent patient care and services as well as a camaraderie between employees that all business owners strive for. It has always been LA's vision to help doctors become the community leader that they can be. All of our programs fit together to help that come about. The only way we win is WITH you!
I live in Krum, Texas on a small ranch. Joe and I share three adult children (one son and two daughters) and a 15 year old son that we homeschool. We have three grandchildren and a new grandson on his way. I love my life, my purpose and the Vision that drives it!
